Our History

1975

Upon graduating from Bucknell University, Bob Robotti began his professional career in public accounting. As an auditor, Bob was first exposed to value investing when he was assigned to the account of Tweedy Browne. When he finished his work, Bob spent many hours talking to Joe Reilly Sr., a retired partner of the firm originally known as Tweedy, Browne & Reilly. This set the foundation of the value investing philosophy that pervades Robotti & Company Advisors' investment approach to this day.
